Interest Rates for a 30-year fixed rate mortgage have dropped to 4.41% from near 5% in 2018.Take advantage of more inventory coming to market in the spring to find your dream home!Buying now will
Being in the market to buy a new home is an exciting time. There are lots of places to look and the internet is informative and fun time-saver. Today’s buyer can find lots of pictures, videos, school and neighborhood reports, and even do a virtual drive down the street in Google Maps.
Yet, home buying can still be difficult, intimidating and somewhat overwhelming. What lender to use and how does the loan process work? Who protects the buyer in the process? How to know when it’s a good deal? Which inspections are needed and are the repairs being followed through? This is a small sample of common concerns.
Fortunately, things have changed from years past, where Realtors represented the sellers. In today’s market there is Buyer Agency; where the Buyer has representation and protection...even though the seller still pays the fee. This is so important, that North Carolina is one of the states that adopted a form called Designated Dual Agency.
Buyers can now make a purchase knowing that they have someone in their corner. Even when dealing with new construction and subdivisions; many or most builders now cooperate with outside Brokers and invite us to bring clients into their tracts. When everybody is professionally represented, transactions run smoother, money is saved, and everyone is happier in the long-run.
Whether you are buying new construction, a resale home that is new to you, or a “For Sale by Owner”; you deserve representation and advocacy on your behalf. This is where experience in negotiation and transaction closing counts. Don’t go in naked an unprotected, make sure someone has your back and is looking out for you. Put me on your team to treat it like it’s the investment of a lifetime…because it is!
Call, email, or text me for a free/no-obligation consultation to sit down, discuss your wants and needs, guide you toward the direction that will give you the best results, and answer questions or concerns that you may have. I look forward to visiting with you.
